Doesnt it annoy you when someone brushes off your compliments? So why do you do it to people who compliment you? A compliment is a gift, imagine it was an actual tangible gift and you said no? It is rude to not accept a gift and it is disrespectful to yourself to deny yourself a gift.

Understand that you deserve to be complimented and given gifts. You are a child of the Universe, you are beautiful in so many ways, thinking otherwise is offensive to the Universe and to the people who love you, not to mention your very soul.

Allow yourself to accept compliments, even if at first youre only doing it to not be rude to the person giving it. And then start to allow yourself to see those compliments in yourself. Start pretending they are true and soon you will see that they ARE true.

I had to and Im glad I did. I didnt become the confident and strong woman that inspires so many of you without doing this important step.

I struggled with crippling paranoia, thinking everyone was just pretending to like me but actually talking about me behind my back. I grew up thinking the whole world was secretly conspiring against me and my family. I was a fucked up kid and those are just two of the things messing up my head, there was a whole gold mine up in there, screwing with me on top of the things I had to deal with.

You can overcome everything. You just have to figure out what your enemy looks like so you can fight it. Awareness is your second step, choice is your first. You have to CHOOSE to get better by any means.
